SECURITY AWARENESS
Our Online Banking system has sophisticated built-in security features to help keep your information safe. You can assist by following a few common sense practices, including:
- Using a strong password (one that is not easily guessed by a human or computer) will have eight or more characters, including letters, numbers and symbols. Make sure to use different user IDs and passwords for your financial accounts and for any other sites you use online.
- Never reveal your password to anyone or leave your password anywhere that someone else can obtain and use it.
- Change your password on a regular basis.
- Do not access your Online Banking account using a public Wi-Fi system.
- Use the Exit button to end each Online Banking session. Do not use the Back button to exit the site.
- Balance your account on a regular basis to make sure that no unauthorized transactions have taken place.
- Install and maintain up-to-date operating system security patches and anti-virus software on your devices.
- Do not respond to emails that claim to be from Rushville State Bank (or any other company) requesting your account details or login credentials (username/password). We will never ask for your personal information online.
- Many mobile devices give you the option of locking your screen, which helps keep data stored on them secure. Depending on your phone, this can come in the form of a passcode, a pattern you draw on your phone’s touch screen or even your fingerprint.
Contact one of our staff at 217-322-3323 immediately if you feel that your Online Banking Account has been compromised or if you see transactions on your account that appear to be unauthorized.
